Chris is a highly skilled professional surveyor in the hydrographic and geomatics industry with over 15 years of experience. He has provided specialist services to both government and private industry offices, gaining extensive and diverse exposure to survey tasks supporting a range of industries, from construction and engineering to exploration and safety of navigation.

Chris holds a degree in Geomatics from BCIT and a Masters Degree in Hydrography from the prestigious University of Plymouth in the UK. He began his career with PWGSC Canada, where he learned the governmental framework for legal surveying in Canada and the standards for survey, metadata, and products that serve as the backbone for his survey/project management style.

Chris is an expert in multi-beam technology and its applications from safety of navigation to construction, dredging, and beyond. His expertise led to him becoming the 4th person in Canada to be professionally certified as a Category A Hydrographic Surveyor by the Association of Canada Lands Surveyors, which maintains a list of certified hydrographers in Canada Here

In addition, Chris holds worldwide distinction as a Chartered Marine Scientist in the field of Hydrography with the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST).
