Our Survey Services
THS delivers survey services tailored to the specific needs of our customers. We strive to work closely with our customers throughout a project in order to understand their unique requirements and reduce any schedule and/or cost risks by employing the optimum personnel and technology suited to the task.

Our ability to turn around data deliverables, often on-site during data collection, sets us apart from our competition. This ability allows strategic project decisions to be made in the field. Our operators have years of at-sea experience using vessels of all sizes and have surveyed in depths ranging from the shallow to the deep and has led to numerous successful projects and satisfied customers.
MULTIBEAM SURVEYS
THS employs survey grade high resolution multibeam and single beam sonar systems. Sonar data is integrated with real-time Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) for position and precise inertial measurements (heave, pitch, and roll) to increase the overall accuracy and repeatability of the sounding data. Our hydrographers are well-versed and conduct surveys under all the applicable standards including those published by the IHO, CHS, UKHO, USACE, and NOAA. We deliver products and services that not only meet the applicable standards but often exceed the depth and positioning standards prescribed by these organizations. Our accurate survey methodologies make THS surveys suited for applications such as construction and engineering support surveys specifically dam, bridge, dockside, and dredging project support.
SIDE-SCAN SONAR SURVEYS
THS owns and deploys high resolution sidescan sonar. The sidescan is a towable unit capable of covering large areas along the towed path. Side scan imagery is useful for classifying bottom type as well as identifying objects/hazards on the seabed, including fish and wildlife. THS side-scan operations can be performed with results often in near real-time during the survey making recovery operations more efficient.
Aerial Drone LiDAR and Imagery
THS also has on staff a licenced Advanced RPAS Operator and have incorporated aerial LiDAR and photogrammetry into our equipment spread. This technology allows the production of geo-referenced high resolution point cloud data of shoreline and upland topography. The point clouds from the bathymetry and the LiDAR are combined into a seamless model of the area both above and below the water. THS has also performed RPAS operations for preload and stockpile surveys where accurate volume calculations are required. This type of dataset is high resolution and suited for multiple purposes including modelling into a GIS.
UNCREWED SURFACE VESSELS
The TRI-3 is a 1.8m LOA near-coastal category uncrewed surface vessel (USV). Easily configurable with the same equipment as a conventional launch, THS’s USV provides identical ability.From a safety standpoint, the USV excels over conventional options by taking human-life out of works in hazardous situations such as those near hydro in-takes and turbines. Furthering THS’s commitment to improvements in both operations and safety.It is the improved coverage, expedited survey time, and positive environmental considerations that make this method stand above the conventional. We feel that this option is the best way to survey ecologically sensitive water resources responsibly

With these systems installed on construction assets, projects can control the operation in real-time and maximize efficiency and accuracy. THS is able to install and maintain crane positioning and production systems.
